When the Bitter Wind Blows

Jeanne, the eldest daughter of a noble family, is falsely accused of possessing forbidden books and sentenced to exile in the harsh Duchy of Skadi.
After enduring a brutal journey, she arrives on the verge of death, only to be rescued by the Duke himself.
Unlike the nobles of the capital, the Duke believes everyone should work, regardless of age or social status.
Desperate to survive, Jeanne eagerly offers to begin working immediately.
Impressed by her adaptability, the Duke tests her knowledge of various subjects and foreign languages.
He then reveals that he needs a tutor for his thirteen-year-old adopted daughter, his late brother’s child.
Overjoyed at the opportunity to start a new life, Jeanne happily accepts the position.
