The Villainous Lady Hides Her Identity

I was the perfect spy raised by the Pope.

I was sent on a mission to infiltrate the Kreitan Ducal Family and steal their family heirloom, so I took a shrinking potion to disguise myself.

“Why are my hands so small? What’s with my voice? Ah! My pronunciation! Why am I so short?”

But something went wrong, and I became a five-year-old child. If I failed the mission, death was the only thing waiting for me.

So, in order to survive, I tried to do whatever I could in my five-year-old body.

“Leponia Kreitan. Starting today, she will be my daughter.” I was adopted as the youngest daughter of the ducal family.

Great! I was planning to use them anyway to find the family heirloom! Since things have turned out this way, I might as well enjoy my time with the ducal family to the fullest before they disown me.

That was what I thought… So why are these people being so kind to someone who isn't even related to them by blood?

I only infiltrated the family through an adoption for the sake of my mission. I shouldn't get my hopes up over something pointless. I need to run away.

And yet, I just can't bring myself to leave.
